A month in which I will do my very best to update both the FaceToFace blog and ChinaConnectU webpage more regularly than the month before! As they say, there is always room for improvement, so here goes! And I no longer have the excuse that I’m too tired, because I just got back from a nice break, even though that break did include driving my parents around New England, but after not having seen them for nearly a year and a half, it was actually a great reunion! It involved visiting a guitar factory in Pennsylvania, hitting traffic jams during Memorial Day weekend, many giant muffins (which is my dad’s favorite thing about the United States), cutting a golf ball in half until the elastic bands inside explode in all directions (a brave and crazy action of my mom), and having a great Dutch-style party with my colleagues here at Berkshire:

None of these things remotely relate to the content and goal of ChinaConnectU, except perhaps the cross-cultural communication that has been taking place! But stay tuned or sign-up for the following updates in June:

  • Proverbs with stories and vocabulary by Haiwang Yuan
  • A delicious Chinese recipe
  • 2 more Education in China preview articles
  • A new issue of Guanxi: The China Letter on manufacturing in China
  • A new photo gallery, thematic vocabulary list, and study questions for an Encyclopedia of China article
  • And 4 new Photo Friday blogposts

I promise!
