As the China newbie here at CCU, I am happy to defer to the greater knowledge and expertise of my colleagues: Mar, with her MA in modern Chinese literature, who has studied and traveled in China; Karen, who travels to and from our Beijing office frequently, and is a member of the National Committee on United States-China Relations; and Tom, who is living and working in Beijing. When it comes to pop culture, though, I will stand up for myself and say that I am the resident expert! With that in mind, I wanted to share a bit of that with you, and herewith offer some CCUtting-edge pop CCUlture links, and hope you enjoy them!
First, OMGmeiyu, a very popular video blog that teaches all the English words that you really need to know, but are never taught in school (I will add one editorial comment–“boogers” are known as “bogies” in British English.)
