Wenyan WENG Weng Wenyang is an associate professor and a researcher at CELAP, where she focuses on leadership development and education for current and future Chinese leaders. She was born in Hunan Province (birthplace of China’s most famous 20th-century leader, Mao Zedong) and earned a PhD in education management from Beijing Normal University. Weng has studied community education at Tokyo University in Japan and has completed postdoctoral research on health education at the University of Wales in Aberystwyth. In addition to her native Chinese, she speaks Japanese and English, and she enjoys jogging, swimming, and listening to music in her leisure time.
