Our latest publication, the Berkshire Encyclopedia of Extreme Sports, is drawing some flak – which definitely in line with the subject of the book. We’re getting calls from people who want us to know that our right-hand page numbers are printed in reverse. One asked if this was a problem in her copy only or were they all misprinted?
In fact, the design by Joe DiStefano was created in the edgy spirit of the sports themselves. Like extreme sports – and extreme ironing, covered in the book according to Scott Eldridge, who put it together – Berkshire’s extreme numbering seems to be exactly what we hoped for: extreme enough to make people a little nervous.
