Berkshire author David Christian explained “big history” at the TED Conference recently. David’s presentation was curated by Bill Gates, founder of Microsoft and supporter of the Big History Project, and David got a standing ovation as well as catching the attention, we hear, of some important people in the audience as he connected the whole of human history with the challenges we face today. Watch David’s talk and get a fabulously visual introduction to “Big History” from the scholar who coined the term. We are delighted to see the work of a dear friend and brilliant colleague recognized in this way. David’s short history of humanity and the cosmos, This Fleeting World, is available from Berkshire as well as from Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and all major booksellers. A Kindle version is also available.
