For Immediate Release: 20 January 2012
Berkshire Publishing and History Makers International 2012
Berkshire Publishing is proud to be a Bronze Partner of History Makers International 2012, which is taking place on 25-27 January in New York City. History Makers International 2012 brings together the world’s best history program makers, and this combined with Berkshire’s international focus and global point of view make it the perfect partnership. History Makers International 2012 is an international gathering of experts who will share their insights on this year’s significant events affecting programming, while also looking forward to future trends in history, archives, and investigative and social issue programming. The event will feature speakers and panelists from around the world, discussing subjects ranging from the Titanic to African American oral history to reality television and its characters. Unlike traditional publishers, Berkshire’s award-winning works concentrate on an integrated view of human and universal history. Both the Berkshire Encyclopedia of World History, Second Edition and our series of smaller books, Berkshire Essentials and This World of Ours, focus on the historical perspective and cultural significance of topics as diverse as glass, mass-media, and concepts of time. David Christian’s This Fleeting World: A Short History of Humanity, from the series This World of Ours, is a fascinating, yet concise, telling of the story of our history in just 92 pages.
All delegates will find a copy of This Fleeting World in their conference bag!
We are offering a 10% conference discount to attendees on all titles until 31 January 2012. The discount code will be on the flyer we are giving to all conference attendees, so be sure to pick one up!
