Local baby sightings: it’s springtime in the Berkshires

Yesterday we had a deer wandering around the house and outside our office windows. It was young, nimble, and not particularly bothered by our presence. Comments ranged from, “How adorable!” and “What happened to its mother?” to “Long-legged rat” and “Bambi’s mother is dead.” You know we strive for balanced and varied perspectives here at Berkshire Publishing!

Bared owl in Great BarringtonBut the sentimentalists and rationalists can unite over the baby owls on Benton Avenue, because they’re both cute and environmentally desirable. Here’s a photo that a neighbor took of one of the little Bared owls. Even I can’t call it anything but adorable.

    That is one of the cutest owl pics evar. But as a disgruntled copyeditor I have to jump your case over misspelling “barred.”
