Getting ready for BookExpo in New York required, I thought, a hotel and some meal reservations and then a lot of meetings in the calendar. But Liz Steffey and Erin Connor felt we should do more to convey our focus on sustainability. They got on the phone to Bamboosa, a company making organic bamboo clothing, in the hope of getting some t-shirts for the three of us to wear as we make the rounds. So you may soon see us, in soft green bambook shirts, in the rather inhuman environment of the Javitz Convention Center in New York. But conventions, too, need to be made sustainable!
