Regular readers will know that I’m intrigued by the idea of synchronicity, and that I’ve come out about this after learning that scientists, too, pay attention to this, as well as people like Carl Jung. I’m simply an observer, a collector of empirical data. To whit: all five of the battery-driven clocks in my life, at home and at work, have run out of juice this week. And it happens to be the Chinese New Year. Of course I can also take this as an opportunity to wonder just how much energy I’m using and toxic waste I’m creating by using batteries in the first place, and what alternatives there are. That’s a subject on my research list for the Cool Planet Guide, which I’ll be working on this weekend.
Synchronicity for Chinese New Year
