While at the Information Summit I had my mind on business-to-business content, thinking of new ways to develop our work in areas including social media, global perspectives, and of course China. But here at home the buzz was about getting the Berkshire Encyclopedia of Extreme Sports to press and celebrating the arrival of The Libraries We Love at the warehouse in Michigan. A huge pile of backorders were waiting, and the wonderful staff at Aero were poised to get them out swiftly. We were delighted to see this thoughtful article in ForeWord This Week, with some background on the project and comments from ALA past president Nancy Kranich. This book has a buzz that just won’t quit, because people really do love libraries. When I hear from people at the selected libraries, spread across the United States, it’s touching to know how much this public affirmation of their work means to them.
