Airport insights

The Logan-Heathrow route is becoming familiar territory, and I thought I’d share two of its delights (the gradual improvements being made to Logan Airport in Boston are a relief, not quite yet a delight).

First, a wonderful series of photos from around the world that line the corridors in Heathrow, from the United Nation’s Environmental Programme’s Focus on Your World.

And second, a striking and fascinating series of ads about global perspectives from the HSBC, which bills itself as “The world’s local bank.” See how foods, hand gestures, and symbols carry different meanings in cultures around the world: HSBC’s “Local Knowledge.”
